Now Trending For Weddings & Events: Ice Sculptures & Kissing Swans Are Back!!!

Over the years, you see trends come and go. But what is funny is that in some way or another, the trends always seem to come back. Over the last few years, we have seen the fashion trends of the 1980's come back….leg warmers, fluorescent leggings and big hair. More recently, 1990's grunge has started to make its presence felt……denim overalls, rock tees and flannel shirts.

In the event and wedding industry, ice sculptures have also come back into trend in a very big way. Once an essential for events and even in big hotel chains in the 1980's, ice sculpting seemed to be a dying art. But like all trends, it has come back even bigger and better due to the development of better and more precise carving tools and equipment.

Ice Sculptures have always been recognized as a wow factor. Carefully sculpted to showcase the delicate beauty of ice, the ice sculpture is unforgettable to all who see it. One of my favorite sculptures is the double swans or more commonly known, Kissing Swans. For me, they speak of elegance, romance and beauty and definitely exude love. The swan has forever been a symbol of love and romance because they mate for life and hardly leave each other’s side.  Not only will the Kissing Swans add to the atmosphere of love when incorporated into the decorating of any wedding reception, they will also be a wow factor because it is something that your friends and family hardly see.

Now you are probably wondering where you would put the Kissing Swans were you to incorporate them into your reception.  Well, there are plenty of places you can have them. For instance, I have seen at other weddings ice sculptures set up on a lolly buffet, on the present table, next to the wishing well and set up in front of the bridal table. The kissing swans look amazing, no matter where they are set up.

So if you are looking for something different and unique that adds that extra special touch for your upcoming wedding, then I definitely recommend that you look into getting the Kissing Swans or an ice sculpture. There are ice sculpting businesses in every state in Australia but if you live in Brisbane and surrounding cities, then I recommend that you check out Angel Ice Sculptures. I have used them a few times in the past for various events and they never fail to impress. The intricate detail in their work is indescribable. Go check out their website and have a browse through their ice sculpture gallery.
